As the first winemaker to make the Forbes “30 under 30” list, Jesse’s experience spans 19 harvests at internationally acclaimed wineries such as Chateau Petrus, Robert Foley, and was a part of the winemaking team at Screaming Eagle. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and execute all scheduled tastings in Healdsburg for the Setting Wines
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the tasting; sharing our story, promoting the Setting Society and selling our wine in a confident and skilled manner while building meaningful, genuine relationships with our guests.
  • Handle purchases using POS system and provide retail
  • related guidance to customers.
  • Respond to all customer service issues in a professional, warm and timely manner.
  • Schedule and manage the by appointment tastings along with walk in opportunities.
  • Manage onsite wine inventory.
  • Work closely with the General Manager/Director of Sales to successfully execute the monthly, quarterly and yearly marketing and sales calendar.
  • Develop innovative ways to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the completion of daily opening and closing Tasting Room duties.
  • Work alongside Operations to ensure each tasting continues to run efficiently, sales are being processed appropriately and guests are receiving the highest level of excellence in each tasting.
  • Additional duties Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety along with the overall appearance and cleanliness of the tasting room.
  • Weekly inventory check and requests as needed Minimum requirements:
    • winery tasting room, wholesale, retail wine tasting or wine tasting and purchasing experience required.

Estate Host – The Setting Wines Healdsburg, CA Job Description: This individual would serve as the Setting Wines Ambassador/Estate Host at the Bacchus Landing Tasting location, Healdsburg CA.

This is an opportunity to become part of a small, passionate, professional team sharing award winning wines with like-minded wine enthusiasts. The ideal candidate would have prior sales and customer service experience, focused on in-person selling, a professional manner, verbal and written. Personality-wise, we’re looking for someone who likes to work individually and alongside a small team, is a creative thinker, has a true passion for hospitality, and is focused on building long-term relationships.

  • The ideal candidate will be extremely detail-oriented and able to work individually and as a team.
  • Exceptional customer service skills are an absolute necessity.
  • Computer proficiency: MS Office, Database, and POS software experience
  • The ability to multi-task is necessary Additional requirements
  • Professional, warm, energetic, and welcoming personal presentation with excellent communication skills.
  • valid drivers’ license
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Other combinations of education and experience demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job will also be considered.
  • Estate Host will receive an hourly wage (BOE) plus a percentage of wine sales and Society sign ups.
